Recap...from 2 weeks ago...

...because I like to procrastinate.

Nothing too eventful happened at our house. We ordered the boys matching Keen shoes. Presley got his first official pocketknife at his scout meeting. A spider nearly killed me in the shower. We did some thrift shopping in Bozeman & found our Halloween costumes. We made homemade chicken noodle soup. Visited the local pumpkin patch. & played lots of Angry Birds.

Mason & Sota cuddling.

Matching shoes.

Anxiety for Mama.

I am still living in fear.

Giant rocking chair at the antique store.

Hanging at Goodwill.

Always homemade.

Face-painting.

Hayride along the river.

I am in love with our home.

They know how to get what they want from Papa. & Mama, too.

Angry Birds is a group effort.

Oh wait, I think I forgot to mention the MOST EXCITING NEWS. My sister-in-law, Sarah, gave birth to my nephew!!!! My younger brother's firstborn. My heart aches when I think about my mom missing two marriages & the birth of three grandchildren since she died, but I can be an overbearing auntie so I'll smother him with love for her. ;)

I CANNOT wait to meet you, Ethan.

Moose Chase

A few weeks ago we signed Pres up for The 4th Annual Moose Chase Kids Race. It benefits the Links for Learning after-school program here in Livingston & it just seemed like fun! Since it was Presley's first time he decided to stick with the 1k race. Next year he's going for the 2.5k & then the 5k! They have a 50 yard diaper dash for toddlers, we're going to sign Mason up for that next year. =) The 1k is the only race where you actually get to chase the "moose" around so it was so fun to start with that.

We arrived at Sacajawea Park on Sunday morning and signed in. Pres got his shirt for the race & we played in the leaves until the race started. The weather was perfect!

The first event was the diaper dash. It was so cute! We considered signing Mason up for it but thought he might be too stubborn to actually participate. Next year for sure, though! Next the 2.5k & 5k runners took off. & finally the 1k race began.

The Moose preparing for the run.

You can see Tyson on the right & some bitch pushing Presley aside.

Waiting for Pres at the finish line! Tyson lost track of Presley so he cut through the park and watched from the side.  I tried to get a picture of Presley at the end but Mason was on my hip & I couldn't get the shot fast enough. :(
After the race we all met back up & took a few pictures & had some ice cream that was provided. When we finished our ice cream we took a few pictures with the moose. Mason loved him! He went to give the moose a high five & wrapped his arms around him instead. We headed to our car and realized we were trapped in until the other racers were done. So we sat on the hood of our car & cheered everyone on.

We made it home, had lunch, & took naps. Then Presley & I headed out to do popcorn sales. I'm so proud of this boy. He ran a race AND nearly reached his $600 goal all in one day. He has $20 more to go!

Bits + Pieces : of an interesting, exciting, & lovely week.

All 4 boys watching Hocus Pocus.

Presley looking extra cute after school.

Lunch lady peanut butter bars. Dead on.

Presley's FIRST time trying these. Get it together, school lunch program. ;)

Bath time sing-along.

Perfectly foggy while driving up the Bozeman Pass.

Tyson sent this to me. Montana.

Apparently Mason taught himself to do this.

Tyson was "shot" by our children when he came home from work on Friday.

Trying to move the body. Boys.

Homemade bagel bites for dinner. Because everything tastes better homemade.

Tyson surprised us with a trip to our cute, little movie theater.

They are the "Party Peeps".

I dared Presley to grab a treat from the gas station dressed like this.

Making pumpkin pie.

Mixing the spices.

Our home smelled so good on Saturday.

The boys made the pie. Tyson helped knead the dough. I made the turkey & everything else. We make a good team.

Tyson ran to the thrift store & returned minutes later with this &  few other things.

He found the record player on the side of the road. It was FREE & it works.

He also found some Pyrex for me & a vintage, working alarm clock for him.

Mason wears my makeup more often than I care to admit.

Happy Monday! Up next: The Moose Chase.
