high elevation + candy stores.

I don't have much of a bucket list, but if I did, the Beartooth Highway would be on it. A couple weeks ago we decided to finally see what the fuss is about.

We started our morning with a quick soak in the Boiling River. We've been to Yellowstone plenty of times but that was our first time stopping by the Boiling River. The water temperature was perfect and the boys keep asking when we'll go back.

Bison herds on the way to Cooke City.

Beartooth Mountains & increasing elevation. Washington wildfires made it a little smoky.

Can you see the waterfall?

Beartooth Lake.

Bear crossing.

Island Lake pit stop.

Apparently they are doing the nae nae & apparently Arlo knows how to do it too. Kids.

Made it to the top.

That sliver of white behind us..snow & a terrifying drop off just beyond it.

Plague-carrying critters.

Red Lodge, MT. We stopped by their old-fashioned candy store before making our way back home. I'd consider living there if I could ever bring myself to leave Livingston.

gas station treats + tourists.

Last Saturday we hopped in the car and ended up at the north entrance of YNP. 4pm seemed like a good time as any to visit. ;) Fortunately we live as close as we do! We were still able to see a lot.

Norris Geyser Basin.

Constant Geyser.

Heart of the Caldera.

Pines as far as the eye can see.

Locals.

Tower Fall.

river walks + bug catching.

Mornings at the river. The brothers started their running club so we get to play by the river while they are there.

Hard to see, but something was being filmed.

The bandshell all to himself.

Mason the bug whisperer.

County fair petting zoo!

This picture almost got Tyson to get us a goat. So close.

4 month old horse.

Tweenagers. Thinking all-nighters at friends houses are cool.

Morning stretch.
