Back to school. Vote for Presley. Sleepy Barkley. Ticklish Mason the puppy. Ice cream date by the river. Surprise postcard from a lovely friend. Pre-dinner ice cream on a Saturday evening. Chocolate-covered Presley. Mason licking his lips. My bearded husband, I'm obsessed. Hair, lots of it. Gifts from my grandparents. My "well-balanced" breakfast. Cafe Rio copycat dinner, it was spot on.

mornings with mason : pbs edition

We're up by 7. Presley gets ready for school, we eat breakfast, & take Pres to school. Mason & I come home, feed the fish, & turn on our PBS Kids. This morning he tested out every bit of our living room.

He's also in for a surprise this weekend. Buddy from Dinosaur Train is going to be at the museum in Bozeman. We'll be there.

2012 was incredible. I don't think we'll be able to top it, although we have a few big things in store. A year ago I couldn't imagine losing twenty pounds, taking our boys to Disneyland, quitting my job to be a stay-at-home mom, Tyson quitting his job & starting a better job he loves, moving to Montana, or having another baby. When did we become adults?!

This year we'll be purchasing our first home & welcoming our third baby boy. I know that much. My only personal goal right now is to read more. I haven't read a book in a month or so. Damn holidays.

As for our NYE celebrations, we spent our evening as a family, of course. Tyson got off work early, we looked at a couple houses, picked up treats, & went to dinner. After dinner we bummed around for a few hours. Staying up until midnight is not easy these days. At 11:45 I made the boys get up so we could watch the ball drop, bang pots & pans, & toast with our apple cider (I miss you, wine!). I got my midnight kisses from all three boys & then we went to bed. I would've loved a glass of wine, but not waking up with a disgusting hangover is pretty excellent.

This morning I picked up McDonald's for breakfast & the boys ate it in our bed. Poor Tyson is super sick, but managed to suck it up for a couple hours while we were out & about. We looked at a home, played on the iced over lagoon, & stopped by a thrift store. The rest of the day was spent playing & watching movies. =)
